Rolf F, Supervisor of Benefits Services
Rolf F has previously managed a supportive housing program for an at-risk population that included seniors and individuals with disabilities. He has also worked in a rehabilitation center providing case management and facilitating group programming for seniors with chronic mental illness. Rolf first joined CJE as a Service Coordinator before transitioning to the Benefits Services team as a Resource Specialist in 2019. Rolf has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University and is a certified SHIP counselor.
Tamara Kushnir Groman, Manager, Irving H. and Jane W. Goldberg Legal Services at CJE and Benefits Services
Tamara Kushnir Groman is a licensed attorney and has a practice background in legal services with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. She also worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James Epstein. Tamara received her BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Resource Specialists
- Esther Craven has worked for CJE for over 30 years in a variety of roles. She is a SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) Coordinator, assisting clients as well as providing updates on health insurance topics for staff. She provides assistance at our main Chicago location as well as in the Northwest Suburbs. Esther also works for the Community Engagement department at CJE one day per week. Esther has a BS in Family Social Services from Northern Illinois University.
- Sheryl Rubel, LCSW has a Master’s of Social Work with a Mental Health and Gerontology focus from Loyola University Chicago. She has completed internships at Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter and at Elgin Mental Health Center, and formerly worked as a volunteer at Congregation Solel in a variety of capacities. She has been a Resource Specialist since 2014, serving clients at our Chicago office and in Skokie.
- Yelena Abramova is bilingual Russian/English and works with clients at the Chicago Horwich office. Yelena holds a Bachelor’s of Science and has worked with older adults for decades, providing direct care and program supervision. She has been a CJE SeniorLife employee since 1998 and joined the Consumer Assistance department in May 2017. She is a certified SHIP counselor.
Pam Neef, Critical Support Coordinator
Pam Neef has worked for CJE since 2002. In her current role she manages and tracks the Financial Assistance Program (FAP). Pam also supports the agency by compiling and maintaining resource lists to help address client needs.
