Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is designed to provide individualized care to patients who have diseases of the lungs such as pneumonia, emphysema, pulmonary embolism and lung cancer, as well as sleep apnea.

This program provides outcomes-based care for patients with the following conditions:

  • Pneumonia
  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease such as asthma and emphysema)
  • Lung Cancer
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Other diseases of the respiratory system

A dedicated lead and  multidisciplinary team:

The program is led by Dr. Majad Najjer, a board-certified Pulmonologist who works in close collaboration with highly experienced specialists from:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Physiatry (a specialty in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation)
  • Infectious Disease
  • Cardiology
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy

Specially-trained staff:

Registered Nurses, supported by a Registered Respiratory Therapist, is trained in special procedures such as:

  • Respiratory Therapy, including oxygen therapy and chest physical therapy, supporting patients who have chronic lung disorders or acute lung conditions like pneumonia
  • Inhalation Therapy
  • Infusion Therapy
  • C-PAP
  • Bi-PAP with nighttime telemetry monitoring to evaluate therapeutic effects of the Bi-PAP device
  • 24/7 bedside X-rays and lab tests
