Research & Education

CJE, in conjunction with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Government Affairs Committee and Federation staff works to impact policy and decision-making as it relates to the Jewish community and the vulnerable populations served by CJE and Federation agencies.

CJE SeniorLife is unique compared to many other eldercare agencies in that it has an in-house applied research division, the Leonard Schanfield Research Institute.  Many of the research projects develop into programs and services that become integrated into CJE’s comprehensive network of programs and services for older adults and their families.

The Bureau of Sages is a research advisory board made up of Lieberman Center Community Members.

CJE SeniorLife holds frequent professional seminars and conferences (often with CE and CEU credits).
