CJE SeniorLife Signs Letter of Intent to Sell Lieberman Center to Legacy Healthcare

SKOKIE, IL, February 24, 2021 – CJE SeniorLife is announcing today that they have entered into a non-binding agreement to sell ownership of Lieberman Center for Health and Rehabilitation, their skilled nursing facility in Skokie, to Legacy Healthcare. The two parties have signed a letter of intent, however steps remain for the sale to be completed in the coming months.

“We have concluded that the best pathway for Lieberman’s long-term success is to sell it to an experienced skilled nursing operator with greater capacity, access to capital, and equally important, a commitment to investing in Lieberman, making it even better than it is today,” said Dan Fagin, President and CEO of CJE SeniorLife. “In turn, this transaction will provide CJE with the resources to expand and maximize the agency’s impact throughout the community. This difficult decision was reached after extensive deliberation, with the present and future residents always top of mind.“

Jamie Dlatt, COO for Legacy Healthcare, added, “Lieberman Center has been an essential part of the community for many years, and we are excited to welcome the facility into the Legacy family. We anticipate Lieberman’s residents and staff will experience minimal disruption during the transition. Our hope is to maintain and expand existing programs and services, while continuing to serve some of the most vulnerable in our community.”
