Pulmonary Rehabilition Program

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is designed to provide individualized care to patients who have diseases of the lungs. This program provides outcomes-based care for patients with the following conditions:

  • Pneumonia
  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease such as asthma and emphysema)
  • Lung Cancer
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Other diseases of the respiratory system

Led by a Board-Certified Pulmonologist who works in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, our program includes highly experienced specialists from:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Physiatry (a specialty in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation)
  • Infectious Disease
  • Cardiology
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy

Our team of Registered Nurses, supported by a Registered Respiratory Therapist, is trained in special procedures such as:

  • Inhalation Therapy
  • Infusion Therapy
  • C-PAP
  • Bi-PAP with nighttime telemetry monitoring to evaluate therapeutic effects of the Bi-PAP device

Bedside chest X-rays and bedside laboratory testing allow patients to remain in bed, avoiding disruptive and stressful transports. These valuable diagnostic and evaluative tools are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week for constant monitoring of one’s condition.
