A Letter from Mayor Lori Lightfoot

Please read a letter from Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot, addressed to CJE SeniorLife's volunteers.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the City of Chicago, I am honored to extend my sincere appreciation to the volunteers of CJE SeniorLife and welcome all to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week.

Since its founding, the Council for Jewish Elderly (dba CJE SeniorLife) has worked to enhance the quality of life and facilitate independence for older adults through innovative community-based services. CJE would not be able to achieve their mission of uplifting and empowering seniors without the help of dedicated, enthusiastic, and hardworking volunteers. From delivering meals, helping with group activities, giving companionship through calls and home visits, or assisting with transportation, the CJE volunteers help to bring comfort and cheer to our senior residents. I commend and thank the CJE SeniorLife volunteers for their ongoing commitment to make a real difference in the lives of so many.

Best wishes for continued success.

Sincerely,

Lori Lightfoot
Mayor
