CJE Counseling Services is pleased to provide a variety of virtual programs during May which is Mental Health Awareness Month as well as Older Americans Month. COVID-19 has certainly made life more stressful, so we wanted to put together programs that will provide specific skills to deal with these new challenges.
Starting on Fridays, May 8, 15 and 22, we will offer a morning mindfulness group followed by an educational presentation on Maintaining a Healthy Body and Healthy Mind and on Building Resilience. Mindfulness exercises are great for supporting mental wellness and coping with stress and uncertainty.
We want you to know that although the COVID-19 crisis has impacted the way the we can currently provide our mental health services, we are very much still open and available for referrals. We can now provide Telehealth psychotherapy services on a computer or smart phone with a video camera as well as on the telephone with audio only.
We are also moving many of our support and psychotherapy groups to these same formats.
If you have a mental health need during this time of significant societal stress, please do know that we are here for you, and we can help. From all of us in Counseling Services at CJE, we hope that you are all well and staying safe in these uncertain times.
