Wednesday Special: The Stories Behind the Songs

Repeats every Wednesday

Upcoming Dates

Presented by Canadian musician Rob Lutes, this six-part program takes participants through the history of popular music in America (and Canada) from its earliest iterations in the 18th and 19th centuries, through the flowering of genres like blues, ragtime, country, Rock and Roll, and more. Rob provides historical context and interesting stories about songs we know and love then performs them live!

Rob Lutes is an acclaimed songwriter and performer, a multiple Maple Blues Award and Canadian Folk Music Award nominee and recipient of the 2018 Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Singer of the Year. He has released eight albums.
