Wednesday Special: New Orleans Cemeteries

Mark Twain called the cemeteries of New Orleans “Cities of the Dead” because they resemble miniature neighborhoods, with rows of aboveground crypts in which New Orleans families inter their loved ones. Between the stunning cemeteries and elaborate jazz processions, the city has grown a unique and strong funeral culture over the centuries. Join Libby from Lucky Bean Tours on a virtual tour through some of the Crescent City’s most interesting cemeteries, and how New Orleanians pay their respects. Libby will share stories of the people who rest in the tombs, and give you a chance to ask questions of a local expert.
