Speaker: Christie Norrick, MSW, Project Manager, Leonard Schanfield Research Institute
Many people worry about their ability to concentrate and remember as they get older, noticing that they cannot learn new information or recall things as quickly as they could before. In this presentation, we will discuss normal aging-related cognitive changes that should not cause concern. Information about changes that are not normal and could be symptoms of disease such as dementia will also be covered. Participants will learn how to recognize “red flag” changes in themselves and others, and find out what steps can be taken if those changes are present. Resources for future reference will be provided.
