No. Although CJE SeniorLife has a deep and abiding commitment to Jewish communal values, the agency is committed to inclusivity and strives to maximize the lives of older adults regardless of religion, sex, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.
How is the agency funded?
CJE SeniorLife receives funding through a variety of sources including Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, grants, donations, government funding, memberships and fees for services.
What types of facilities do you have for seniors?
CJE SeniorLife owns and operates four independent senior apartments, a retirement facility, an assisted living facility and a skilled nursing facility. These are located on the north side of Chicago, as well as the north/northwestern suburbs.
What geographic areas does CJE SeniorLife serve?
Services are provided in Chicago and the outlying suburbs. Boundaries for some services exist. Information and referral is available worldwide.
I live out of state, but my parents live in the Chicagoland area, can you help us?
CJE SeniorLife offers a wide range of services to assist you and your parents. Some of our services include our premium Geriatric Care Management, Home Delivered Meals, Transportation, Consultations, Counseling, etc. We would be happy to discuss in detail how we can make things easier for you and your family.
My aunt only speaks Russian, how can she receive services at CJE SeniorLife?
CJE SeniorLife employs Russian speaking staff to help our Russian clients. Assistance includes helping them get connected to services, and advocating on their behalf.
I have some time on my hands. What can I do to help?
There are many ways you can become involved as a volunteer with CJE SeniorLife. We always need home delivered meals volunteers, friendly visitors (humans and canines), and assistance with a variety of activities. Give us a call and we'll help you find your niche.

What are Entry personnel?
CJE SeniorLife’s Entry Department consists of 2 full-time Resource Specialists who assist callers in connecting with our services, as well providing information and referrals for outside sources.
Can I donate clothing or other items?
While CJE SeniorLife accepts monetary donations, at this time we do not accept items such as clothing or furniture. However, we'll be happy to give you resources of organizations that do accept such items.
