How do I submit an application for an open position?

The best way to submit an application or resume is online on the website at cje.net or e-mail your resume to jobs@cje.net. Otherwise, you may apply in person at any of our locations.

Do I have to complete the application in its entirety?

Yes, please complete the entire application.  That allows us to have all of the information we need to move the hiring process along faster.

Once I have applied, what happens next?

Once we receive your resume/application, our HR Team searches for the best candidates to meet our location-specific and resident’s needs . All applications submitted remain on file for one year.

Do you have to be Jewish to work at CJE?

No, CJE does not discriminate in admission to programs or activities or treatment of employment.

What are the work hours?       

CJE's regular business hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.   Depending on job requirements, some employees' hours may differ slightly.  The 24-hour facilities operate on shifts. 

Does CJE have a dress code?

CJE’s dress code is business casual.  Staff members are expected to dress professionally and appropriately.  Some positions require uniforms.

Are there opportunities for advancement at CJE?

Job openings are posted in designated locations in each building and on the CJE Web site, cje.net.  The agency supports and encourages professional growth.

What geographic area does CJE serve?

CJE provides services in Chicago and the suburbs. Boundaries exist for some services, such as transportation.  For details, contact the entry staff or community business manager.
